Do the pair come from the same tub or were they put together later? Hoping they get along in a shared tank.
Both raised in tubs with daily changes, conditioned on gel food and duckweed. They've shared a tank without any chasing, so no issues there.
Good to know, thanks. Gel food and duckweed is a combo I should try with my fancies.
Tub raised and daily changes is what I like to see on orandas. Do they take sinking pellets too or only gel food?
Listing only covers gel food and duckweed, that's what they're conditioned on. I haven't tried sinking pellets with this pair, so have gel food on hand for the first week.
Those caps look tight. Do the two have similar body depth or is one noticeably rounder?
Seconding this, would like to know too before the auction closes tomorrow.
Both are around twelve centimeters, as listed. I'd rather not guess on body depth from memory, message me and I'll send a side by side shot of the pair.
Are these two okay in a bare tank or do you keep them with substrate? Thinking about how I'd set up quarantine for an oranda pair.
Listing only says they were raised in tubs with daily changes, so bare is what they know. A bare quarantine tub is the way to go for any goldfish anyway.
Bare tub is also easier to keep clean when you're doing big daily changes, nice answer.
Quick note for anyone eyeing the pair: they are around twelve centimeters each and were conditioned on gel food and duckweed. Happy to send a side by side if you message me.
Do you ship these two together in one bag or split? Twelve centimeters each seems like a lot for one bag.
Listing doesn't say how they pack, message me after you win and we'll sort it out. Ranchu and oranda that size usually travel better in separate bags though.
Gorgeous caps. Are both of them the same size and body depth, or is one a bit chunkier? Thinking about bagging them together vs apart too.
Listing says around twelve centimeters each, so they are close in size. I can send a side by side if you message me and we can sort the packing after the auction.
Those caps are tight. Good luck to whoever takes them home, I'm watching the last hour.
