Quick note on the rili since nobody has asked yet: they're mixed sizes with young berried females likely, as the listing says. Feed lightly and let biofilm do the work for the first few weeks.
Thanks, that's helpful. I run TDS around 200 so I'll drip acclimate slow if I win. Bid placed.
Nice colony. Are the berried females already carrying eggs or just likely to? Trying to figure out how fast it takes off.
Listing says young berried females likely, so I can't promise any are carrying right now. Feed lightly and let the biofilm do the work.
fair enough, I'll just feed light like you said. bid is in either way
Do the rili need drip acclimation or is float and mix fine? My shrimp tank is soft water, around TDS 150.
Listing doesn't cover acclimation specifics, but with TDS 150 vs the water they ship in I'd drip slowly over an hour or two anyway. Neos are tough but shrimp hate sudden swings.
Thanks, slow drip over a couple hours it is. I'll put a bid in.
Listing says young berried females likely, so I can't promise any are carrying at the moment. Stable water and light feeding and they'll get there fast.
21 bids on a starter colony, wow. shrimplord are these fed anything specific before shipping or just biofilm and light feeding like the listing says?
listing says feed lightly and let the biofilm work, that's really it. stable water matters more than anything you feed them.
22 bids, you're not kidding. shrimplord are these any particular strain of rili or just the standard orange? asking since I only have a 10 gallon free.
Listing says orange rili with clean pattern separation, mixed sizes. A 10 gallon is plenty for twenty to start, they multiply fast in stable water.
23 bids, ok I'm in too. hope the girls arrive berried.
thanks for the answer on the 10 gallon, shrimplord. does the colony come with any extra to cover shipping losses or just the twenty?
Listing says twenty orange rili, mixed sizes with young berried females likely. That's what I'm promising, message me if you want to talk about the rest.
shrimplord are these shipped with a drip acclimation setup or just bagged? my tank runs 205 TDS and I know yours is probably lower.
Listing doesn't mention a drip kit, it only covers twenty orange rili, mixed sizes with young berried females likely. Message me your numbers and we'll work out a slow drip plan like I did with the blue dreams.
bid in on the rilis, 29 bids is a lot of love for a starter colony
