Anyone keep guppies in a planted low tech tank long term?
Thinking of moving a small colony of my fancy guppies into a heavily planted 20 long with no CO2. Hard water here, around 12 dGH. Do the plants hold up against the nibbling, and do you find the fry survive better with lots of stems? Curious what plants people have had luck with.

Hornwort, guppy grass and java fern for sure, guppies mostly leave those alone. Stems like rotala are fine too if they're established first. Fry survival goes up a lot with floaters and dense stems.
Adding java fern and anubias glued to wood, nothing nibbles those and hard water doesn't bother them either.
Good, I have a lot of java fern lying around anyway. Will plant the stems in first and add fish after a couple weeks.
Planting stems first and waiting a couple weeks is smart. Floaters like frogbit will also help the fry a lot in a 20 long.
