Moss or leaf litter first for a brand new shrimp tank?
Setting up a 10 gallon for the neos I just got and I can't decide whether to load it with moss first or go heavy on catappa leaves. Sponge filter, soil substrate, TDS about 150. What did you add first and did it matter?

Moss first, it gives them cover right away and holds biofilm. Add leaves a week later so the soil can finish settling.
Agree, and don't overdo the leaves at the start. One or two is plenty in a 10.
