Three months in and my scape is a jungle, full reset or just a heavy trim?
The stems are pressed against the surface and the foreground is getting shaded out. Pic below of where it's at. I'm tempted to pull everything and replant, but the fish and shrimp are settled and I hate disturbing them. Has anyone done a big trim in place without a mini cycle or an algae bloom after?

Trim in place, do it in halves. Cut the back half this weekend and the rest in a week or two so the tank never loses all its plant mass at once. Do a water change after each trim and the algae stays away.
Halves makes sense, I'll do the back half this weekend then. Should I replant the tops or just toss them?
Replant the healthy tops in the empty spots up front or in the back row, they root fast. Just pull off the bottom inch of leaves first.
