Tap phosphate came back at 0.5 ppm, so now what for the moss tubs?
Tested the tap like everyone suggested. Reads about 0.5 ppm, not as bad as riverina's but not zero. Tubs are in a bright window so the algae shows up quick. Pic below of the test vial next to the tub. Do I just cut the light period, or is it worth mixing some RO in to dilute?

Mixing half RO half tap dropped mine to a level the floaters could eat through. Cutting light to 6 hours helped too, but the dilution did most of it.
Agree on dilution. If you go that route remineralize a little so the moss still gets some calcium and magnesium, straight 50/50 is usually fine though.
yeah i'd remineralize lightly. my moss tubs on diluted tap did fine with just a pinch of gh booster, nothing fancy.
ok that's doable. mixing half and half tonight and cutting the light to 6 hours like riverina did. will report back in a week.
