Usually 3 to 5 weeks for me before a new leaf, sometimes longer if the rhizome was cut recently. Shimmer on the old leaves is a good sign they're not melting.

same here, mine sat still for a month then pushed two leaves at once. patience is the whole game with buce.

Same with my anubias, it sat for weeks looking identical and then pushed a leaf overnight. Don't keep moving it, that resets everything.

anubias and buce are the same story, rhizome plants just sit and sulk. leave it on the wood and stop poking it, mossboss.

ha, fair. I'll keep my hands off the wood and just stare at it from a distance. Will post a pic when the first leaf pushes.
