Angel wrigglers on day 3, how long do you let the parents tend them?
Had a pair in the rack hatch a clutch on slate a few days ago and the wrigglers are still stuck on the slate tails twitching. Parents are fanning and moving them around. Pic below of a bubble nest from my betta shelf since that's what I had on hand, not the angels. Do you pull the slate to a tub or let the pair raise them till free swimming?

i let the pair tend them till free swimming if they're calm. angels that have already moved wrigglers around are usually fine. i'd only pull the slate if they start eating or the water goes bad, and then use an airstone and methylene blue in the tub.
my first pair never ate a clutch but I still pulled the slate on the second one because they got nervous. depends on the pair honestly. day 3 twitching tails is normal, they're still on the yolk.
yeah these two are steady, so I'll leave them. thanks both, will post when they're free swimming.
nice that they're steady. did the wrigglers stay on the slate tails this whole time or did the pair move them to a pit?
curious about this too, finandfry. mine always seem to move them to a pit around day 3 or 4 once they start to wiggle off the slate.
they stayed on the slate tails the whole time so far, pair hasn't moved them once. i'll keep an eye out for a pit move though.
mine usually move them to a pit around day 4 once the yolk is nearly gone, so yours staying on the slate is a bit unusual. calm pair though so i wouldn't worry.
yeah they're just stubborn, this pair does everything slow. still no pit move as of tonight, wrigglers look plump.
