Totally normal at this age, mine always have a couple of pigs in each tub. I'd just keep feeding small and watch for anyone getting left behind.

Agree. Size gaps even out a lot in the first month, I wouldn't sort until they are a few weeks old.

One thing I'd add: pigs in a tub are fine now, but if the same few keep getting bigger past week 3 then split by size. Until then I wouldn't touch them.

ok good, so no sorting until at least week 3. i'll keep feeding the same tiny pinch in both and just keep measuring by eye with the ruler on the shelf

measuring by eye with a ruler on the shelf is smart, i just snap a phone pic of each tub every few days and compare. easier to see who's lagging than memory.

ooh phone pic comparison, stealing that. ruler in the shot too so i can actually tell the sizes apart.

Tub A being fatter this early is usually just whoever found the wafer first. Keep an eye on the B tub's feeding so nobody there gets starved out.

b tub is picking at it fine now, just a bit slower. i'll do a tiny second pinch in b tonight and pipette after an hour.

Week 3 check sounds right. If Tub A keeps pulling ahead by then, move the three biggest into a third tub rather than shuffling everyone.

third tub is a good idea, i've got a spare shoebox size one. will mark the date on the tape so i don't forget.
