Black lace fry day 5 and they're free swimming, baby brine going in
Update on the slate clutch. This morning most of them let go and are hovering in the corner, so inkfin's day 5 call was spot on. Airstone on low, lights still dim, first feeding of live baby brine went in an hour ago and I can see little orange bellies already. Pic below of the tub setup I'm moving the strays into.

nice, orange bellies is the sign you want. feed small and often the first week and do tiny water changes, the first week is where most of them get lost.
inkfin agree on tiny changes, and finandfry keep the tub bare and drip the new water in slowly so you don't shock them.
nice hatch finandfry. i'd skip the tub for a few days if the strays are doing fine on the slate, moving them is the riskiest part.
shrimplord fair, the strays are the ones already falling off so the tub is mostly a safety net. rest stay put.
finandfry smart to leave the main clump alone. if the strays in the tub stall on brine after a day or two, a drop of microworm or crushed flake on the side helps the weak ones.
finandfry congrats on the hatch. once they're past the first week, split the tub and the slate group by size so the bigger ones don't outcompete the runts.
