Crushed coral bag went into the guppy tub, day 1 ph readings
Took the crushed coral advice from the guppy tub thread and put a mesh bag in the outdoor tub this morning. Pic below of the bag sitting by the floaters. Will test ph morning and evening for a few days and report back. Anyone leave theirs in all year or pull it in winter?

I leave mine in year round, just rinse the bag every couple months so it doesn't get coated. Morning and evening readings is the right call, outdoor tubs swing more than you'd think.
I pull mine in winter only if the tub is going to freeze solid, otherwise it just sits there. Curious what your evening reading looks like compared to morning.
will post both tonight, morning was 7.4 which is about what the mix gave me in the bucket.
morning 7.4 sounds right. if the evening reading drops more than a few tenths after a day or two, the coral bag is probably coated already, give it a rinse.
