Crypts finally perking up after the frogbit thinning, small update
Posted a couple weeks back about frogbit shading my crypts in the 20 long. Only been a few days since I trimmed roots and pulled half the cover, but there's already a tiny new leaf unrolling on the wendtii. Not claiming victory yet, just glad I didn't buy a new light. Pic below of the scape day mess from when I rearranged things, still sorting plants.

nice riverina, crypts respond fast once they get light back. keep the roots trimmed or it'll shade them again in a month.
mossboss yep, and go easy on feeding the crypts for a bit, new leaves after a shade period can melt if you shock them with a big dose of ferts.
plantedpete good call on the ferts. riverina if you want to feed them, root tabs well away from the new growth are gentler than water column dosing.
shrimplord good to know, i'll skip dosing this week and just let the new leaf finish unrolling first.
riverina nice, and if the frogbit comes back just keep half the surface clear. crypts are slow but they notice light fast.
