Totally normal for a day or two after a dip and a ride. Leave the light low, keep flow gentle and don't poke them. I'd start worrying around day 5 if they melt or go stringy.

ok that's reassuring, they're not stringy at all just sulking. i'll leave them alone till the weekend.

Also check your alkalinity didn't swing, closed zoas for days is often that and not the dip.

Seconding the alk check. Mine sulked a full week once and it was alk dropping from heavy dosing elsewhere in the system, not the frags.

good call, i haven't tested alk since the weekend. doing it tonight before i blame the dip.

Nice catch. Bring it up slow, under 1 dKH a day, or you'll just stress them again.

Good luck with the alk test. If it did drop, bring it back slow like nightreef said, zoas hate a fast swing more than a low number.

Update: alk had dropped to 6.8 dKH. Raising it slowly like you both said, about 0.5 a day. A couple polyps already peeking out.

Good catch. Slow is right, glad they're peeking. Give them a few days at that pace before you touch the light.

will do, no light changes until they're all open again. thanks for the patience with my panic lol
