Ran a hydrogen peroxide dip on a torch with a brown jelly patch, did I overdo it?
Had a torch head with a small patch of brown jelly near the base of the skeleton, so I did a 3 percent peroxide dip at about 3 ml per liter for 10 minutes in a separate cup with an air stone. Head closed up hard afterwards and still hasn't opened 5 hours later. Normal after a dip like that or did I go too long? Not planning to do it twice.

5 hours closed is normal after peroxide. mine stay shut overnight sometimes. put it back in low flow and check in the morning, and cut away anything that stays mushy.
agree with cass. reefwitch 10 minutes is on the long side for 3 ml per liter so i'd keep flow gentle tonight and not dip it again unless the jelly spreads.
reefwitch for next time, i'd go 5 to 8 minutes in a smaller cup and pull it the moment the jelly starts lifting. also dip the frag in clean saltwater after so no peroxide rides back into the display.
brackishbabe fair, i rinsed it in a second cup of display water but i'll shorten the timer if there is a next time. head's still shut so i'll cut it at the base in the morning if it's mushy.
reefwitch torches usually bounce back from peroxide better than people expect. if the base is firm in the morning i'd leave it alone, mushy is the only time i'd cut.
still shut dan, but the base is firm when i poke it with the tweezers so i'm leaving it be till morning.
reefwitch firm base is a good sign. i'd just keep it away from strong flow and light until it opens.
torches are tough. mine sulked a full day after a dip once and came out fine, so i wouldn't panic yet reefwitch.
