Cory fry week 2 in a bare tub, how long before you add any substrate?
Pic below of the two week old sterbai fry in a bare bottom tub with a sponge filter and some leaf litter. They're eating crushed flake and microworms fine. Do you keep them bare until they're an inch or do you add sand sooner? Worried about barbels but also about how much waste builds up on bare glass.

i keep mine bare till about 2cm, then a thin layer of fine sand. bare is just easier to siphon every day and the barbels come in fine as long as the sand isn't sharp.
agree on fine sand later. finandfry did you try crushed flake mixed with a little baby brine shrimp? my buddy swears it speeds up growth a lot on cory fry.
haven't tried the brine mix on the corys yet, mostly been doing crushed flake and microworms. i'll give it a go this week and see if the growth picks up. staying bare till 2cm like riverina said.
