Culled my first spawn today and it sucked
Nobody warns you about this part. Necessary for the line, but I did not enjoy it. Respect to the breeders who do this at scale.
Culling day results
Pulled 200 bloody marys out of the rack today. The depth of red this generation is unreal, F6 from the original line. Keeping the top 30 for breeders.
Culling isn't cruel, it's the hobby
Your bloody marys look washed out because nobody culled for six generations. Keep a culls tank, sell them as feeders or ghosts, keep the line tight.
TDS creep is real
PSA for new keepers: your TDS doesn't lie. If it's climbing between water changes you're overfeeding. My racks stay at 140 within ±5 and molts are clean.
